BIOGRAPHY

Classically trained, Alessandro - also known as Alex - grew up under the guidance of Maestro Amleto Mazzoleni, vice-president of the “Gaetano Donizetti” Higher Institute of Musical Studies in Bergamo. He perfected himself with Jazz double-bass player Maestro Giorgio Buratti and with Jazz pianist and concert performer Maestro Sante Palumbo.

Simultaneously with his musical studies, he obtained a degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Bergamo.

Alex Fabiani has managed to shape his eclectic and poetic "piano touch" to an original and imaginative musical language that allows him to move from a genre to another one, ranging from characteristic pieces of Classical music to references of Afro-Cuban rhythms, reinterpreted using his very particular musical style.

He made his debut at a very young age making himself known in musical essays and local television broadcasts. During his career he has taken part of several important international events: International Jazz festivals, theatrical reviews, television and radio broadcasts collaborating with famous Italian and International artists. His performances range from "solo piano" to duo and trio, growing up to more articulated musical ensembles.
Alex was the founder of the FABIANI Trio, Quartet and Quintet and he was an integral part of the following musical formations: Heartland Combo, Les Trois, Europa 13, Vicenza Jazz Band, Orobic Jazz Ensemble, Paradox, The Jazz Confraternity, ADA.
During his activities, he was one of the founders of the "Bergamo Jazz" Association and the President of Europa 13, a musical association of his city.
He recorded several soundtracks for movies, documentaries and tv videos; he’s mentioned in IMDb INTERNET MOVIE DATABASE.
He’s been mentioned in Jazz literature and in national and international newspapers thanks to his concerts and works.

His passion for jazz language is proved by his album of Spiritual inspiration “NEAR TO YOU” with the double bass player Giorgio Buratti and in “SOUND AND SOUL” live album. For his recording project "BY THE SEA - Music For Piano", Alex composed 15 songs inspired by the sea and performed on the piano: Alex demonstrated his versatility and his original "piano touch" that allowed him to enter the Top Ten of the Italian network "Radio Classica".

Alex Fabiani has been the guest of the Swiss Italian Radio music show “Broadway, Hollywood, Las Vegas. The world of the Stars *,S capital letter*“ hosted and conducted by Giuliano Fournier. For the WH Books International (New York), Alex Fabiani collaborated with Tom Bilotta in the creation and development of the first book-cinema called “ANATOLE”. It’s a new electronic format that, like a movie, allows the reader to listen to music, soundracks composed and played by Fabiani, while reading the book. For this innovative project, Alex was mentioned by multiple international newspapers, including The New York Times.

For GIMMY RADIO (Costa Mesa USA), Alex was the protagonist of the radio program "AROUND THE TABLE FOR XMAS" alternating music of his own composition with famous songs and jazz classics. On that occasion, he presented himself both in solo piano and with his trio ADA. Due to its success, the program was repeatedly broadcast for some time. In his concert activity, Alex loves to experiment and propose new ideas. For example,  during the Bergamo International Jazz Festival, Alex presents an innovative musical experience: his "J-JAZZ". It is a creative interweaving between "odd" music and "new" sounds, offered by the artistic-technological support of a DJ. Furthermore, Alex collaborated with the painter Oliviero Passera in the realization of "NOTES AND COLORS", an artistic and innovative project-concert that includes the impromptu performance of music and painting.
His compositional vein is intense, always characterized by his inner personality and his interpretation that allows the public to receive his most intimate sensations and moods with an original and immediately perceptible artistic form.
In this regard, the international success achieved with its compositions should be noted in “Terry” chosen as the soundtrack of a prestigious Spot of a World Campaign against Blindness promoted by a major social solidarity body.
His composition "Freckles", winner of the
ALITALIA-SIAE-ROCKOL competition, was chosen among thousands of compositions to represent Italian music as the soundtrack on  Italian airline ALITALIA's flights.

He has recently started a major quantity of projects from an international music collaboration with the Argentinean soprano Ivanna Speranza (singer and lyrics composer) to the production of soundtracks and texts for an important discography label but also the soundtracks' recording for the movie maker Roger A. Fratter.
His character, which is simple, spontaneous and extroverted, is perfectly reflected in his music: his particular way of making music thus succeeds in involving and attracting an increasingly large audience that appreciates him and follows him in every concert. Attention from the mass media is also growing.
